The presence of Mrs. Yamuna Perera, Acting Secretary of the Ministry
Mrs. Yamuna Perera, newly appointed Secretary of the Ministry of Women, Child Affairs and Social Empowerment, came to the main office premises to observe the work of our institution. On that day, the secretary discussed the future plans of the institution with the staff officers of the institution and also gave instructions for the success of those activities. She participated in observing the duties of every department of the office and also engaged in a friendly conversation with the officers on duty.
Accepting the position of the new Chairman of the Sri Lanka Social Security Board
Eng. Shantha Dickwella has been appointed as the new chairman of the Sri Lanka Social Security Board. on December 23, 2022 Eng. Shantha Dickwella accepted work.

Ministry of Labour & Foreign Employment and Sri Lanka Social Security Board joinly introduced a new pension scheme for Sri Lankan migrant workers “Manusavi” has been introduced as a Social Security Contributory Pension Scheme for Sri Lankan migrant employed overseas. The scheme was launched by the Labour and Foreign Employment Minister Mr. Manusha Nanayakkara at the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment on September 26,2022
